Do you work from home? Or do you want to work from home?
I've been working from home for over 4 years. Throughout that time, I lived in multiple places with different amounts of space available for me to work and live.
One time my desk was literally a book shelf I converted.
And once it was just sitting in my tiny room on my bed with a laptop.
From those uncomfortable times, I learned two really important things.
Number 1: Your comfort directly affects your ability to focus on your work.
You're just not going to be able focus well if you're hunched over on your bed or distracted
by your chair or roommates or whatever. And without focus, your productivity plummets.
And second, it is very necessary to get outside at least once a day.
Being outside means you're moving. And an active body makes for a less stressful and happy self.
And no one can deny the magic of soaking up some sun.
If you hate the sun, sorry for wasting your time because this isn't for you...
What if you could carry your desk to your favourite park?
Or drive it to the beach?
Or setup in a local forest?
If you're like me, you've probably tried to work in some or all of these places.
But you end up having the same problem as working on your bed...
Hunched over and uncomfortable.
How can you work for more than an hour if you can't sit comfortably for more than a half hour?
So let me share an idea with you I had.
A portable, fold-up outdoor desk.
Basically if you could really easily bring your office outside with you, would you be happy to work outside?
Because I think I'd be the happiest I could be if I could be making money in a forest.
Or smoking a joint on a beach while writing an email.
Or getting a tan while on a zoom.
All you'd need is a comfortable, upright seat that would fold up with the desk.
An elevated laptop holder - ideally adjustable.
And a keyboard and mouse holder.
Package that up in a cute lil bag and you're good to go.
And yeah, you'd still have distractions. But you'd pick where you're getting distracted. And you can decide if you want to fold up and leave!
I think it could be sick. But honestly... I don't have enough time to make it!
I have some other really cool and fulfilling stuff on the go, so I wanted to share this product idea with you.
And by you I mean, anyone who sees the potential and would be excited to try it.
Cause that's what the success of a new venture comes down to.
Being able to take action because you're interested enough to see the outcome.
